Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

You guys. Did you know that Chipotle serves MARGARITAS? Well, they do. Delicious, strong, knock-you-on-your-ass if you haven't had enough to eat Margaritas. I have the headache this morning to prove it.

I LOVE Chipotle's food, but I had a very poor experience at this location. I dislike spicy food, so my order is pretty bland. I ordered online and picked up my food in the store to bring home. Something was wrong with my order, because it was so spicy I could barely eat it. So irritating!

This Chipotle consistently has something that is unappetizing about it. Today, it was the fajita peppers. How long did they cook? Everything was burnt to a crisp! Other days, the corn salsa is just "wrong." And the food is always COLD. CHILLY BRR COLD. I know it's not supposed to be hot, but the rice is so cold, you can hardly break it up. And cold beans? Ew. I'll just head to another Chipotle.

The cheapest Chipotle that I have ever been. Size of their food is half size comparing to other Chipotles.

Chipotle is chipotle right? Wrong. This store has the nicest employees of any chipotle I've been to. I've been to some Chipotle's where they don't communicate and others where they're great, but these guys will bend over backward to make your order how you want it. I showed up just before closing with my family on a Wed night and the manager made sure all of the food was fresh and even gave us a free burrito. If I'm in the burbs at my parents place I used to go to the chipotle in Glenview, but this is my new fav.

Great food, especially for the price! This was my first time at Chipotle and I did not have any idea of what to expect. My friends raved about it, so I felt inclined to check it out. Definitely not what I expected. What seems like a limited menu is actually designed to give the diner exactly what they want from a Tex Mex fast food dining experience. I chose to have a salad, added steak, cheese (other option is sour cream), all of the salsas (I couldn't help myself), the pinto beans (other option black beans), and brown rather than white rice. I enjoyed every bit of my meal down to the last morsel. So much flavor! I also had an order of chips with guacamole. Admittedly, a guac snob, I found Chipotle's to be quite lovely. It had texture but was still creamy and had flavor, which sometimes is hard to find. I loved the addition of the red onions in the guac. The staff was friendly, and I have to say, pleasantly patient. I was a first timer and not knowing what I wanted to order or how to order they helped me throughout my experience with a smile. For those of you who don't know, at this particular location you go to the left side of the counter and order and they place the ingredients on your plate as your see them in front of you. There is also a children's menu and the serve beef if you are dining in. I will be back!

I think I would be hard-pressed to write a negative review for a Chipotle... ever. Unless they were out of beans, maybe. Or rice. Even then, though, just the smells would be enough to lift me from initial crushing disappointment. Chipotle was a sponsor for a 4-mile run event recently in Highland Park, so I came here afterward with my co-racing boyfriend and our shiny new buy 1-get 1 giftcard. For eight dollars we got a vegetarian burrito bowl, a veggie burrito with guac, and a diet coke (with fresh lemon!) to share. The girl who made my burrito bowl skimped a little on the lettuce front, but the experience of sitting outside, enjoying some sour cream and salsa-drenched peppers and rice, while doing some all-star people-watching on a beautiful summer day completely mexiclipsed that. Just like all the Chipotles, they do their best to buy local, organic, and free-range whenever and wherever possible, which of course is always appreciated. And my boyfriend and I love that you can take the tabasco bottles to your table with you... It feels good to be trusted.

Rarely do I ever write reviews. So me doing, is saying something. I've been eating Chipotle on a regular basis, since it first came out around mid 2000's. I can eat it everyday. I recently moved out to Highland Park, and of course.. I'm hitting up Chipote. Little did i know, this location was going to be my downfall. I'm not trying to sound arrogant or anything through this review, but I think I deserve my 2 Cents from all my business. I work till 8PM usually, and is it my fault I have to come in 10-15 mins before it closes? That's the times I usually come in, and I'm not sure if it's cause it close to closing time.. but they act like "ughhh. Another customer, I already started cleaning up" WTF?! I understand it's rude to come 10 mins early before close, but never have i ever had a bad experience at Chipotle. So me having a love for chipotle, I told myself I will try it out again, and wow.. More and more disappointed. Tonight Was it. Last time ever. 8:30PM they didn't have brown rice, steak(beef) no peppers and missing MILD salsa . I'm not "trying to bitch" but I kindly asked, hey there is 30 mins, could you make some more Brown RIce? They talked in spanish, ended being No. Every other Chipotle I havent gone too is always stocked up and will make anything again, even if it's 8:59. Guys wtf is going at this location? Bring back my Chipotle, Food, service, and friendliness back, PLEASE!

Chipotle is chipotle right? Wrong! Only this reviewer, unlike the previous one, sees it the other way around. I like my burrito the following style: black beans, rice, pico de gallo, and guacamole. Every Chipotle I have been to has had fresh ingredients except for this one. You'll notice right away their guacamole is a darker color. I was hesitant at first but thought, "How bad can it be?" Ugh, it tasted like it had been sitting around for a few days, very lacking in flavor. This alone ruined my burrito. I assumed it was just a bad day for them, maybe the delivery truck had messed up and they had to use old guacamole or something. Wrong! I returned after several months and much to my dismay they were serving the same old guacamole, dark green and void of flavor. Fortunately, this is the only Chipotle that has served such awful food, and hopefully it will be the last one I encounter.

I go to this location at least two times a week but this weekend, Sunday, 11/03/13, was the worst experience ever in my life. My cousin and I were placing our orders and I tried make conversation with the employee that was preparing the food when out of nowhere the other employee in the back got very aggressive and asked me "you got a problem?" I looked at him and realized by the look in his eyes spelled trouble. I honestly believed that he will jump over the counter to attack me and my cousin. I could not believe my eyes that this is happening at Chipotle. At that point, I decided to cut our eating short. I really felt very insecure and literally fearing for my life, I almost wanted to call the police but we decided to leave. I obtained the names of those two employees - Ryan and Mike - and want to tell Chipotle that they should screen their employees a lot better because this is not the way you treat paying customers. There are a lot of things that we fear in this world, don't let Chipotle become one of them. I will never in my life go this location again!! Thuggish, gang-banger, wanna be-gangster attitude!!

Yes, it's a chain, but I have to tell you about my visit at Chipotle prior to my Jamba Juice stop the other day (see prior review). My overall experience at this particular location has always been pleasant and consistent having made many stops there over the years. I've always found the servers to be friendly and quick. At no fault to this particular location, Chipotle has changed. The chain seems tired, and I'm probably writing it off forever (sorry Jennifer H...sorry me). The prices have gone up, and the pork is really different and way too rich now. I stopped ordering chicken tacos about a year ago because the chicken was just too spicy for my mild taste buds. When I discovered the pork, it was the perfect option for me. Not too spicy, known to be healthy (for a fast food chain), and it was simple and tasty. Then the boycott of pork happened...dun dun dun. After staying away for a few months to Chipotle, I had an urge for some quick tacos. I was excited to see that pork was back on the menu, so I ordered up pork tacos. Guess what? The pork is different now :-( The seasoning of the pork is so over the top rich I couldn't finish my tacos. What happened? Simple suddenly became pricey and too complex in the flavor department. For the price of a fast food taco, I might as well stop at one of the many wonderful Mexican restaurants in Highland Park for something true and authentic.

I'm a fan of Chipotle but this time is was very disappointing. Stale chips and the meat in the tacos tasted as if it was sitting there a while.

It is hard to mess up a chipotle meal. But this crew does it almost every time. Everytime I am there the manager is publically insulting her workers. The food isnt bad but rarely is the meat warm. The guac is always brown and never once has the salsa been fresh. To top it all off, when your done ordering you have to wait until one of the food line workers calls out a cashier from the back. Everytime I order chips from this place, they are bad. Either the oil they use is too old or the chips have been sitting for days and are very stale. They bring a poor name to the chipotle dynasty.

You either love Chipotle or you don't. And hubby and I love our Chipotle. So we were thrilled when this new location opened up. We always get our food to go (I'm a mom -- I don't have time to sit for a leisurely meal!) but the line always moves quickly and the employees are courteous and friendly.

Sadly, the customer service at this Chipotle has fluctuated wildly in the past 2 years. Sometimes there's a long wait even when there are hardly any other customers (huh?), sometimes it can be up to 5 minutes for someone to come out from the back who can ring up your order, many times they are out of fajita veggies,,and the list goes on. I'd say 4 times out of 5 there's either something wrong with the order or a long wait at this location, and its a bummer because the food can be SO good!

I'd give this place 5 stars but, after all, it is just a chain. Walking in, the employees greet you like an old friend. When I asked about their pozole soup, they made me up a small (free) bowl to taste, with chicken, cheese, everything. It was great. They cater to my kids, listening carefully as they whisper their orders. They food is good, and I've never had anything that is not fresh. A terrific Chipolte, with easy parking, and close to a Starbucks for a coffee afterwards.

This Chipotle is good. The food is great. Just had the guacamole last night and it was very good. Unlike a previous poster's experience, it seemed very fresh and flavorful. Wish there were more clean tables, but that's my only complaint. The cooking area seems very clean.
